Hello all I just wanted to share my experience with using Radmin 3.5 viewer on a MAC using OSX 10.8 and crossover to install Radmin. I am currently using OSX 10.8.2 on a macbook pro to support my clients. Generally I DO run other OS versions in vmware fusion, but I was looking for a good solution to run Radmin ( excellent tool for a long time ) more seamlessly on my mac. I downloaded the RADMIN 3.5 MSI installer package I installed Crossover 12.1.1 from codeweavers on my Macbook Pro and then created a new install from the CONFIGURE INSTALL SOFTWARE menu option. From there I created a new win vista bottle in which to install the Radmin viewer into. Unider the INSTALLER LOCATION option, I pointed it to the RADMIN 3.5 MSI file that I extracted from the archive.
Next complete the install and then you can make an alias to the radmin35.app file as a quick access shortcut to run in the future. Thats all there is to it! Works great under OSX 10.8.2! Thanks to the Radmin crew for a great and reliable remote access tool!
Tip. Make sure that running an EXE file on your Mac is really necessary.
Many Windows programs have versions for OS X. Some programs may run best when in a Windows XP bottle, and others may run better in a Windows 2000 bottle. Some experimentation may increase reliability.
Some programs, especially games, will not work, even in Crossover. Windows programs are much less reliable when trying to run on a Mac. Because Macs produced before 2007 used the PowerPC processor and not the Intel x86 processor that Windows programs have always used, it is usually impossible to run Windows programs on these older computers.
